Resident request for Traffic Calming/Speed Humps on Crusader Street
Transportation Services is currently investigating a resident request for traffic calming/speed humps on Crusader Street to address the safety concerns with speeding along this street.

Update on the Confederation Park Outdoor Accessible Basketball Court
The mobilization for the scheduled construction work on the outdoor basketball court has begun. The area has been secured with temporary construction fencing, and the contractor has started removing the existing basketball systems, benches, and other structures.  Construction signage will be placed to inform local visitors. The outdoor basketball court is anticipated to be closed until September 30th to fully complete the upgrades.

These sites have been reviewed and approved:
- Bellamy Rd N / The Meadoway
- Markham Rd / The Meadoway
- Ellesmere Rd / Markham Rd
Staff are currently undergoing consultation process with nearby and adjacent properties.

Update on the Resident Request for additional Speed Humps on Pegasus Trail
The resident request for additional speed humps on Pegasus Trail between Portico Drive and Netheravon Road was approved at the July 2024 meeting of Scarborough Community Council.  Installation is anticipated to begin in Spring 2025.

Resident Request for Advanced Green for Left Turns at Markham Road and Ellesmere Road
Transportation Services has investigated a resident request for a westbound left turn advance green light to be installed in the morning and afternoon rush hours and it was found to be warranted.  The installation is anticipated to be completed by September 30, 2024.

Resident Request for Advanced Green for Left Turns at Markham Road and Lawrence Avenue East
Transportation Services has investigated a resident request for a southbound left turn green light and it was found to be warranted.  The activation is anticipated to take place by October 30, 2024.

Resident request for Advanced Green for Left Turns at Bellamy Road N and Ellesmere Road
Transportation Services has investigated a resident request for a northbound left turn green light and it was found to be warranted for both the morning and afternoon rush hours. The installation is anticipated to be completed by November 20, 2024.
