Scarborough Village Community Centre - Updates to the Washrooms
City’s PFR Facilities staff continue to work with the Seniors Executive at Scarborough Village Community Centre on improvements to the washrooms to ensure that they are safe and accessible for all users. Through consultation with the committee, staff have lowered the paper towel dispensers, changed the handles in the women’s washroom and installed a bag handle in the women’s washroom (which they will re-locate to a more appropriate space in the stall).  Staff have ordered grab bars and will install them once they arrive. Staff are also determining the feasibility of installing emergency buttons and hand sanitizers in the washrooms. The height adjustments to all the current countertops have been added to the centre’s State of Good Repair List.

Scarborough Village Park/Splashpad Update
Staff are informing that they have completed the Detail Design phase and that the project is moving in the construction document phase. The project timeline remains the same with construction commencing Fall 2024. All project updates are available on the project webpage.
