Intersection of Kingston Road and Lawrence Avenue East- Update
The construction work at Kingston Rd and Lawrence Ave E is now complete.  Staff have advised that the intersection is now operating under permanent pedestrian signals. While some restorations and a software upgrade are required, these won't impact vehicular or pedestrian traffic. They have also informed that the issue of water ponding on the road will be addressed when the weather allows for regrinding and repaving the area, which will be in early spring. Staff have also advised that the replacement of the TTC bus shelter has been identified as a priority, however, it may be delayed until spring due to weather conditions. If weather permits, installation may happen sooner.

All-Way Stop Controls and Parking Amendments at Waldock Street and Havenway Gate
The installation of the all-way stop controls will take place in three phases over the next 6-8 months. The stop signs and warning signs on Waldock have been installed. The second phase will be the road markings for the stop bar and yellow tails. Finally, the crosswalk lines and curb depressions will be installed, this work is scheduled for Spring of 2024. Staff will be extending the stopping prohibition on the north side of Waldock to include the west approach to crosswalk at this intersection. Stopping is still required at the stop sign however beyond this point there is no stopping allowed within the no stopping zone.

Transportation Services proceeded with a report to the January 19th meeting of Scarborough Community Council and the item was adopted for installation.
