About Paul Ainslie:
Born and raised in Scarborough. Paul and his wife Janet are the proud parents of three children.
He has the background and experience to be an effective member of Toronto City Council, and brings to Council an experienced perspective. During the past twelve years he has worked at all three levels of government, including a Federal Member of Parliament, three Members of Provincial Parliament, and two Toronto City Councillors.
He always had a strong belief in the value of public service. He has been involved in a number of community organizations including, the Boy Scouts of Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Knights of Columbus, and the Friends of Fort York to name a few.
Paul's goal is to uphold his belief that residents need local government to do the things that we cannot do for ourselves such as providing police and fire protection, maintaining the streets, providing parks for children, and collecting our garbage, and above all else represent the residents of Ward 43. Among the many issues facing the Ward and the City, Paul believes that residents should be engaged so they feel connected to their community, there should be responsible development, so people feel they are building a better City to be passed on to their children.
