At its January 19, 2009 meeting, the Toronto Public Library Board adopted the following motion under discussion of Agenda Item No. 12 - Scarborough Center Library Branch - Update:
Moved by Councillor Ainslie, seconded by Councillor Lee, and carried:
That the Toronto Public Library Board:
- approves continuing work towards locating Scarborugh Centre Branch at 150 Borough Drive;
- requests that the City of Toronto continue to include the Toronot Public Library’s interest in the development plan of the Bushby site in the nearby McCowan Precinct until such time as the development of library at 150 Borough Drive is confirmed;
- forward this report to the Scarborough Community Council.

That the Toronto Public Library Board:
requests the Toronto Transit Commission to explore the feasibility of providing a transit stop at the site of new library branch and requests staff to forward a copy of this communication to the Scarborough Community Council
